| This vacation rental home is located in Akumal 65 miles south of Cancun in the heart of the Mexican Mayan Riviera. It boasts a beautiful main beach and is an excellent location for snorkeling. Akumal is as its name says in Mayan the "place of turtle"! During the whole year you can see many turtles while snorkeling in the Main Bay and Half Moon Bay. Further south of Akumal (approximately 1.5 miles) you will get to Jade Bay. Jade Bay has a direct access from the high way. Very quiet and private bay with a few vacation rental homes and one restaurant located at Las Villas Akumal that offers service to the public (the only condo complex in Jade bay). Akumal is also very popular for divers. There are two great dive shops on the Main Bay and one on Half Moon Bay that offer professional services with plenty of activities. The living room and dining room face the ocean where a wall of sliding patio doors invites you to enjoy the refreshing pool only 3 steps away and the Caribbean surf just beyond. The furnishings are Mexican with brilliant Caribbean style fabrics. From the living room and dining room you exit to a covered patio that borders the pool. If you prefer casual outdoor cooking you will want to use the propane fired barbecue surrounded by palms, just beyond the deck. Just imagine yourself swaying in a hammock or relaxing in a pool-side lounge, looking out to the turquoise ocean, enjoying the gentle breeze and the rustle of natural palms. Continental breakfast of toast and jam, cereal and sweet rolls with coffee, juice and milk will be served Monday - Friday of each week.
