| This vacation rental home is located in Akumal 65 miles south of Cancun in the heart of the Mexican Mayan Riviera. It boasts a beautiful main beach and is an excellent location for snorkeling. Akumal is as its name says in Mayan the "place of turtle"! During the whole year you can see many turtles while snorkeling in the Main Bay and Half Moon Bay. Akumal is also very popular for divers. There are two great dive shops on the Main Bay and one on Half Moon Bay that offer professional services with plenty of activities. Following the road you will get to the next bay which is called Half Moon Bay, just a couple minutes driving by car. And at the end of the bay you will arrive to Yalku Lagoon, another great spot for snorkeling and swimming.
